After reading this site for some time i have noticed that the majority of people are using a modified 36hp fan shroud on their powerplant was
wondering why this is so, is it just looks or is there something more technical.
Thank's for any help
Derek
I guess every individual is different - my reasons for an aftermarket 36hp style (Doghouse cooling) shroud was aesthetic and functional. I prefer the round shape - looks nicer in my opinion, but also with my type IV conversion and normal shape late doghouse shroud would interfere with the dual carbs.
I run a moded 1600tp shroud. but a 36hp shroud would alolow a little more room.
mines a moded 36hp as well i had a moded 1600 one but it was just ugly on the t4 conversion and the 36 gives more room in the bay
