Howdy,
I have had my 1968 semi-auto beetle for about 7 years now and all the time i have been driving it i have never seen this light turn on, i dont know if
this light was a 3rd party add-in or not but its on the far right of the dash, anyway car became sick and what i noticed was this light come on..
anyone know what it means (its not oil light or atf light (i think) as both of those are in the speedo. I have included a diagram, obviously not my
car (earlier model and US) but i drew where the light is in my bug. Any help would be great.

you would have to find out what it is wired to
Howdy again, ok i traced it back as far as i could it goes under the back seat to the right of the battery into the engine/transmission it is parallel
to a 12v cable. Any help?

without knowing what it is connected to at the engine or transmission it could be any number of things.
I've never seen a light like this before, but I was thinking maybe it's to do with a specific auto-bit?.... except my 70 auto beetle doesn't have
one of those lights, so I'm probably no help.
Hope you find out what it is!
Such a strange place for a light. Must have been something important.
How exactly is your beetle sick?
Maybe it's a vacuum warning light or something. I don't know.
It's not an aftermarket seatbelt warning light?
