Generator warning light stays on.

Anyone ever had this problem?I have a new regulator all is wired correctly[B+ to starter and ignition,df to gen,d+ to gen and 61 to warning light .Would it be that my generator is shot and its time to get a new one.Or is it a wiring problem.

my baja is at the auto elect since friday with the same thing,, was told my generator needs redoing $250 to recond it
