Hmmm,
while driving my buugy along the highway, it some times starts stuttering, and looses speed!!!!!
What could be causing this
is it an electric fuel pump ? could be a bad earth or a dodgy pump . good luck .
can you hold the dip stick when this happens or is it to hot? thers a good chance that your engine is overheating if it only happens on the hiway.
I'd be guessing electrical, maybe the coil or condensor? have you checked the points, leads and plugs?
Check the solenoid wire to the left hand side of you carb and distributer wires / HT leads too. If your solenoid wire is loose it will shut off the fuel intermittently and dizzy wires will prevent adequate spark causing it to miss.
ok,
the engine isnt HOT, and it now does it all the time, I cant drive it at the moment. Im thinkin it may be bad connections on the fuses , cause when u
fiddle with them, the prob. goes 4 a little while?!?!?!?!
Not that I know the electrics on your buggy, but usually there are no fuses in the ignition circuit. Power goes directly from battery to ignition
switch and directly to the coil.
If fiddling the fuses stops the problem, could it be a short somewhere causing a voltage drop to the coil? Maybe corroded connections doing the
same?
Just a thought.
Perhaps its a Suby thing........those damn japs & their gremlins.........:P
