wouldnt it be a case of jsut winding your front back up? do you have adjsuters fitted? the back is easy.

its standard beetle, i don't know how it was lowerd first time round, and i don't know enough about it, i will get some more info.

to be that low, it would need to have had some work on the beam. get unnder the front and take a look at the two large pipes running accros the front. in the middle there might be what looks like a bolt on a plate attached to each. this is an adjuster. you can then re set the height. if it hasnt got these, then i dont know... but i am sure there would be some one on here that will be able ot help.

the back is real easy. its jsut a matter of adjsut ing the torsion bar. i would wait a few days and talk to some one local form on here. they may be able to offer you some assistance. i know i would if you were up this way. good luck

What excactly did they say it needed? Depends what repairs theyve quoted.

o.k just got more info...

when it was lowered they have taken the torsion leaves out? what ever they are..

is this bad?

do i have to bin this project or would it be better to get a new front beam?

cost for raise is $700.00.

how much for a new front beam?

Where are you!!! someone might be avle to offer more assistance.

For instance they can locate you a replacement beam and possibly help you fit it.

$700 sounds like a rip off to me.
You just need a set of leaves fitted.
