ahhh!
this is the guy - Peppe

http://www.peppemotori.cjb.net/  (can you read Italian??)

may be email him and ask him
He was pretty friendly

peppe is the guy to talk to.
Basically it needs water to preheat the gas.

That said a year ago i saw a kombi round Blacktown with the LP Gas sticker and a filler and it sounded air cooled. never got to talk to the bloke so dont really know. It may have been a sube.

ive been doing that with my bug heaps, only spent about $10 on fuel in 12 months :P. the rest of the spending on it has made up for that though

If you are building a car from scratch it might be worthwhile. There are a few LPG kits around that will heat the converter with oil heat and I'm sure I've seen one that uses radiant heat from the engine block which could probably be adapted for use.

VWCOOL Yes its seagull , the server will not let me log in from work any other way ( GULL )

The LPG was not for my car , some one asked so I thought I would put it up for all , good post I think just how does it work ect .

As for the ford EL GT , my subaru out back feels faster > did not like the drive

O can you U2U your email address I have some photos for the Magazine that you may be interested in , cheers seagull

I would have thought that you would have to increase the cooling efficiency of the engine and tinware/ maybe even a fan. Saying this because im under the impression that a car running on LPG runs hotter than one running Petrol...
Correct me if im wrong.

These guys seem to work on Air-cooled VWs, and there's even some photos. I must admit the LPG thing has crossed my mind.
