Hey...

My 71 Beetle.. when reved, makes a spatting noise.. and looses power missing a beat... what do i do

Missing ...as in spark?
Check plug wires, plugs, points gap, timing

You have to Rev the car a lot.... Ummm i dnt know what else to call it it just like misses a beat and spats

Sounds like a big loud sharp exhaust leak, especially when cold?

does it idle ok? if not its most likely a plug or lead thats causing the problem
