Can anyone tell me if the revised model just out of the New Beetle has the new rear suspension the same as wots fitted to the Golf 5? What engines are available.. diesel???:puke I owned a 2001 New Beetle for a while but it kept scalloping the rear tyres making a loud humming noise like a wheel bearing failure. I sold it because of that. I fould the New Beetle a really nice Car for the two of us.. we took the back seat out completely which gave us good carrying space. I would to get another but not sure of this problem being addressed.

As for the 2001...the car gets better as time goes by. My 2004 is a much better car than the 2000. Its like any complete new car, theres always probs in the first few.
