type 3 seats in a bug?

looking at getting a set of type 3 seats that are on on ebay for my bug- can anyone tell me if they will go straight onto the runners or will i need to do some modifications?
iim only interested in the front seats
(as i have non standard vw seats and i hit my knees all the time.) my back seat is in good nick.

what year bug do you have cause i might be able to help as i know of a few sets from a bug. btw i think the type 3 seats are wider than the bug

i have a 74 1300 bug and i have 80's corolla (i think) seats in it atm.
