waltermitty - November 21st, 2005 at 08:41 PM

I have a hoist , balljoint seperator and a quality slide hammer/ bearing puller and a g clamp. I dont want to do the job but for economy and ease as the only place i have found who will do it is in western Sydney Ii am told , Im not sure but no one around here wants to do it.
So I asked and was told its a beeach of a job and you need a porta power to get it done so what do i do?
Are they that mean or are they OK?
Thanks in advanvce Mitchell

Nah its not too bad if you have a hoist to use. Pull the centre pin out, use a drift to knock the old bushes up and out, knock the new bushes into place and reassemble.
Don't forget to grease it after installation

Did this today no worries two hours with a new drag link etc. Very straight forward after a study and re read of bentlies .Mate what an improvement, steers like a formula one now , new shocks ,sterring damper drag link and center pin. mate no drift at speed straight as a die glad i did it . Thanks for the encouragement Graham and yeah I greased it.
Only tricky part was locating the bolt connecting the arm and pin . Used a g clamp made things easier. And dont try without a hoist i recon. Mitchell

Good to see you gave it a go and didn't have too much trouble.
