Hi, can anyone tell me how well suited 40idf,s would be bolted on to a rebuilt 1600tp?

im thinking a bit big maybe something more like a set of 34s or 36s on a stock 1600tp. hell the twin progressive i use to run was just the right size and its a 32/36

Nothing wrong with twin IDF 40's on a 1600

Make sure they have 32 vents and jet from there

I ran IDF 36's on a 1776 and 1600. They performed better on the 1600. They had 32 vents.

If you go to
http://www.aircooled.net/new-bin/viewproductdetail.php?keyword2=FSK0020&cartid=

AC net recommend 32 vents in either IDF 40 or 44's for a 1600

Yes - at present i run a 34 Pict on a 1916 and it runs sweet and have run 32/36's on 1600 and 1776 as well as 34 Picts.

It is all in the vents and jetting
