mysterious ?bolt? holes thruought superbug body
DIY-DUB - November 29th, 2005 at 02:53 PM

the seems to be quite a few holes that look like something was bolted to my bug, the rear has some that id guess could be a cage, the front has some along the bottom of the shell inside on the footwell bit, heater channel call it, just next to your feet while you drive, theres a few other random looking holes in it aswell, cant figure out what could of gone there, and no there not rust holes, if they are i have very presice rust bugs or something cause they are all round about 10-20mm diameter, if i had a camera it would be useful but i dont so just think up random stuff that would be bolted to a bug shell, already know that 2x holes were for a baby seat so that covers 2 holes

Rear ones sound like the mounting holes for the swingaxle stabiliser bar. As supers became IRS these became redundant and I guess the faxtory found it more economical to have the presses just leave them there rather than change them to not punch them.

Not sure about the front though.

Cheers
