flywheel nut removal

how the hell do you get the bugger off???? the pulley one comes off easy but not the flywheel one, is there some magic way 2 stop the engine turning? without the magic flywheel lock tool obviously

Grab a metre of steel flat or angle, drill holes to match the clutch pressure plate, bolt it on and that will stop it turming.
(if your close to my place, you can borrow mine)

I have a rectangular metal plate with 5 holes . 2 for eng bolts and 3 for clutch bolts (ont fly wheel)
the plate (could bee decent plywood if rare usage) edgee sits a little higher than the ground also ....to add stability

Don't stuff with long bars, angle iron with holes, just buy one of those tools that volksfolks sells, they are worth every penny, you won't beleive how good they are till you have used one.

cheers, you will skin your self and piss about making bits of steel etc etc, not just cause i sell the tools but its just soo easy!!
