Standard Kombi Jacks
modulus - December 3rd, 2005 at 08:44 PM

I have a couple of jacks for my '75 Transporter, but I'm not sure which (if either) is the original issue.

One is Bilstein, with a wide base and a hex nut on top for actuating, the other lighter in construction and has a winding mechanism in-built.

Can anyone advise what is the standard jack... photos would be good... when it's all worked out, I'll put the results on the aussiekombicampers website.

In a similar vein, does anyone know what the full set of standard tools packaged with a kombi was?

Our 75 has the winder built in type.

That's a good suggestion karmen.
I checked the owner's manual for a '78 (online at type2.com) and that clearly shows the winder built-in type, as Helbus has also indicated : photo attached.

Now I know which one to tart up for "standard equipment".

I'd still welcome info. on what are the standard tools.

Thanks to all.

Heres the Jack i got with my Kombi.

It has "Bilstein" written in the top.

When I brought this kombi the guy selling it to me told me, pointing to a plastic bag " the jack and tool kits in there"

When I got home I found the "tool kit" he was talking about
