anyone got pics of how hack job verts are braced etc and even original KG verts would be nice, thanks everyone:thumb
Hi
The local choptops use a disused road bridge, speak to your local council. Factory ones use a brace that bolts to the chassis under the heater
channels, thats not the whole story, theres heaps of bracing in the shell as well, one that I plan to reproduce on my 1303 is at the base of the A&B
pillar, have a good look at a factory next time you see one.

chance, would like 2 have a chat with u about your car if i could, please
Hi
I dont use MSN, Im a very slow typist. You can always call me, if you can use a phone at work etc to avoid large phone bills.
Steve
thanks man, i think id get in abit of trouble if i did that tho, dont suppose theres any info that i havent found on the net, other than the clubvw page and little bits on here and germanlook?
Hi
Are you going to Valla? We could have a chin wag there.
Steve
Why are you after it ??
Reason I ask is cause if you are thinking og doing your own it will be a major PITA to get past Torsion and Beaming to get registered. Best to buy a
dead convertible and re-body it so to speak.
I have a set of approved conversion plans if you want to have a look at them to see what is involved. You will have to come and have a look though as
I am not emailing or reproducing them in anyway as I don't want them copied. They are for you to get an idea of.
Anyway the offer is there if you are in the area.
not hacking my roof off, just considering every option i can think of to make the whole thing more rigid, figured something similar would do nicely,
and the way i worked it out in my head, i wont loose any ground clearance
