are there any external differences between a 1131cc engine and the later 1192cc. the engine serial number is 1365928.

As far as I was aware 1192 was a 40 hp 1200 and had an engine prefix D.
Could be wrong though, it happened once before.

1100 or 36 hp had the generator stand as part of the crankcase
1200 or 40 hp had a bolt on generator stand

should read, early 1192cc (36hp)oval engine compared to 1131cc (30hp)split engine.

That engine number is a 36hp late 56 or early 57
