Porsche 934 Sachs Race Clutch { The Saga continues}
Craig Paton - February 10th, 2006 at 07:16 PM

Attached is some pics of a 934 Sachs Race Clutch for my friends 930 Turbo.

This is to replace his Ruf clutch that was stuffed by a clutch mob in $$??. I won't name names.

Came back from these guys after having the pivot points changed, we put it in over a weekend..., and then took it for a spin up the road!

We came straight back to his workshop and pulled the bloody thing out again. It was vibrating severely....!!!!

CAme back from this mob UNBALANCED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sent it back and they balanced it. Got it back, put in the car, did 1 race meeting and we pulled it back out again.

found they drilled holes for balancing in a place where there shouldn't be holes. Results.... Ruf clutch is now stuffed!! My friend is quite peeved and a four and a half thousand out of pocket..!!

And we will spend a Saturday arve putting this clutch in.

The Drive after will be worth it!!:D

930 turbos are sex on wheels in my book.... and they gotta be black :)

nothing like an old skool turbo porsche.

hmmm...so my $660 ring gear and sachs clutch was cheap then...

will be interesting to see how it stands up with a beating...

Yeh Doug they do look sooo good and they're timeless!

Reub $660 does seem cheap!

This clutch will get a workout! 450KW worth!

Well,

My friend just needs a new flywheel now! His one was machined down too much!

Not too worry..., a new factory 930 T one is only $800, however he's been able to source one for $460..!

More pics follow.
