Our 61 ghia has a 2nd gear synchro that is just TOO loud and grinds going into 2nd from 3rd gear. I would like to have this fixed pretty quickly so we're lookng for someone to either rebuild our tranny or somewhere we can buy a rebuilt tranny.

The car has been updated to a 12v system and the motor is a 1600. I am assuming the tranny is a 12 volt starter type as well.

Anyone have any ideas who can rebuild this for us? Alternatively, anyone have a tranny in good condition for sale? I dont really want to waste my time putting in something that is as bad as what we currently have, so if you have a used one I need to know some details.

Speak to Dale. He rebuilt the box in my 59 bug and it's like new. Has all the tools and the know how.
