fuel injecting 2L kombi - anyone tried this?
tomnseals - March 13th, 2006 at 09:19 AM

We have a quote on fitting fuel injection to our 2L kombi at the same time as an engine rebuild. The system would be the same core as a Camira efi system with small modifications. I think the injectors themselves are Bosch. The guy who is already doing the rebuild is reputable, but I was curious to see if anyone had had this done to their aircooled V dub and what difference it had made to efficiency, power and overall driveability.

I would genuinely appreciate any experiences shared.

Cheers,
Tom

I know someone here in Perth who successfully fits Camira fuel injection to Beetle engines. I'll get his details today, and I'll U2U you.

I have a 1977 2 lt dual cab and it is fuel injected. I believe it is a genuine vw . It is great starts so well and runs great and is so good on juce. I wouldn't go back to a carby again. You don't have to touch them.
Best of luck
Matt
