Lowering a type 3
Kafer Lover - April 8th, 2003 at 10:17 PM

Does anyone have, or know of somewhere that gives a novice a step by step on how to adjust the torsion bars on a type 3 to lower it?
Any special tools required?

It seems that Taz and myself must think alike. Provided you mark where parts are before you undo them cos that way you have a point that you can return it to if u need to set the height back. The only thing to be a bit careful of is dont let the pressure of the spring plate when you undo it, btif ou go low enough you wont have any pressure on it when u put it back together and it will go back in very easy. Also on the front end remember that there is a bolt at the opposite end of the beam holding the torsion bar for the other side in. You will not get the torsion bar out without undoing this on the opposite end first. Happy Slamming!!
