installed my new steering column the other day (now i cant start the car with a screwdriver anymore), after it was all fitted up and everything tested and working i found that my wipers only haev 1speed. there are 3 positions on the lever, and i was pretty sure 76 busses were meant to have twin speed, but mine only has off/on/off. is there something wrong? what could cause this?

yes two speeds as per the missuses.
Could be a wiring connection.
Sounds like you are using different wiper lever "three speed arm" , so maybe the loom connector not matching.

plugs fit perfect, byt 3spd i mean 3 positions ie: off/1/2
i have had this problem with both the levers i have used.
