Radiator mounting…
Besides mounting it on the bulbar is there a safe and functional alternative.
I am fitting a 2ltr Nissan (carby) motor into a 75 Kombi.
ive heard of some mounted betreen the chassis rails, but if there is enough space, why not put it behind the engine like mine, just cut a hole in the hatch. works well.
hey
there have been a few done in between the front beam area which runs a scoop up to the rad running a few big thermos or there is a guy here that made
a shroud up and fitted it between the riggers under the car
just a few ideas for ya!!
cheers

I have seen one on the net somewhere ,where they have made the radiator look like the spare wheel , the core is circular, with the outter edge
surrounded in those perspex wheel covers and a stainless steel mesh over the radiator core and the hoses then go straight down and under the car back
to the motor. As to the thickness of the core ? you will have to ask the maker what's best
ive also seen that kombi try on

good modifed site. btw my radiator is underneath and im not really a fan of it. I'm always getting worried about hitting stuff and if i
don't run the fan constantly it will start to overheat. but it is out of the way and no-one knows its there when you want to drag an unsuspecting
commodore or something. u2u for details
sorry, got confused, meant to post the link blownkombi posted!
blownKombi....xclent site...you have U2U
I have decided to place it on the bullbar..
Question's are placment of thermo fan:
1.In front of radiator or behind?
2.blowing or sucking?
3.one large or two small?
Hey mate
Home safe and sound and the pop top survived.
Was think on the way back about a setup I saw years ago and how it could be modified to fit a kombi.
Locate your batteries under the back seat beetle style and use Two Mini (as in the car) radiators placed in the battery locations so that air
travelling down the scoops has to pass through them. Along with an extraction fan on your rear grill (Maybe 2) it should provide enough cooling for
you.
Opinions ne1 ?
Glad you made it home safe
Spoke to a few people to-day and they all said mount it on the bullbar..
Fitted it to-day..
