Does any one have advice on the type of seat belt to use for a 1959 splitty. We have been doing a ground up resto and understand the RTA. don't
require belts. But we think it's worth the effort. Plastic (new car type belts seem readly available but we are looking for something more in theme
with a 1950s vehicle. To complicate things it will have to meet australian standards.
Any ideas or coments will be apreciated thanks.

im looking over this, im looking at using retractable golf ones (any one got some?) .. apprently you need to weld a plate inside the pillar, its easier if you got phores cause you can slide it up through the hole.. some people just drill a bolt right through the pillar, looks shit and i dont know if thats even passable nowadays.. my 2c..
oh... and check out http://www.dsk.com.au :thumb
Thanks warb. I'm going to ring a engineer tomorrow for advice. Second hand belts might be the go.
A splitty can seat 9 people that a few dollars worth of belts.
I reckon if you don't need them for registration, maybe get it reg without, then fit these, which may or may not suit Oz officialdom but would have
to work. Fewer holes you have to dig the better.
