What type is better for cornering and road holding, the CB type with the loopy ends or the Sway-away? I’m not concerned if the ride is a little bumpy. IRS is not an option.

TIA

i looked at them at one stage - i personally was partial to the cb one not solely by name over the empi but by design...

whiteline automotive are minutes away from my place, but they don't make one for the rear of a swing-axle type 3.

Bond, what was it about the design that you preferred?

I had a CB Performance one on my Oval before I went to a BJ/IRS pan.

The improvement was great. I did have to get 4 longer studs to mount the centre bracket to the transaxle though.

56astro, did you have it on long, did it cause any problems with gearbox leaks?

I drove around with the old floor pan for 6 - 12 months or so. Not quite sure.

It never did any damage to the gearbox whatsoever.

Yup,i do dude, went on oct 2002,still goin, never fallen off never tightened. It will lower your car slightly from std height because its prelooding and the ride will be a little harder too.:thumb

I have the say aways on my '61 and they are not a problem. do know if i would like to have the limit strap type snag on the arms? handling feels a lot more controlled with it on.
