took out right bolt at top of motor....ok but left one was so tight that after 10 very hard turns the bolt snapped.... didnt look rusty i had to turn it from the rear because the front part was round i had it jacked up to take the weight of the motor also removed both bottom bolts still have it on jack cause when i went to lower it motor didnt move any suggestions would be great car is a superbug motor is a twin 1600
u gotta drag the engine backwards, to let it off the cog thingy in the gearbox (cause its currently threaded through the clutch and flywheel assembly
and crap, and the clutch and flywheel etc is till in the gearbox houseing.
Just support it with the jack, hopefully its got wheels, and pull the engine backwards, till its free from the box.
If ur jack hasn't got wheels, get some mates to push the car forward, while u pull the engine in the opposite direction.
You have to clear the drive shaft....
Be careful as You can bent the drive shift....
You should be able to pull the engine rearwards,
I thought the Left hand nut was a captive nut on the 1600 twin port engines as the doghouse oil cooler makes undoing it very difficult as I just found
out....
Doing it up is also very difficult... but My engine is a 1500 with the doghouse oil cooler fan etc added....
