Hi all , as it states in the title any tips on cleaning brushed Stainless steel?? Has about 10 years of grime and ground in dirt , metal is brushed so it does have some kind of texture. Any help would be apreciated.

Whatever you do don't use anything abrasive. Carefully find out what disolves the dirt and grime by testing little patches and wipe it with soft cloths only. The last thing you want is to scratch the surface. Nylon washing up pads will scratch stainless steel esp[ecially black ones. I would start with undiluted washing up detergent and work up to acrylic thinners or isopropyl alcohol or whatever from there.

Now I'm going to let you in on a cleaning industry trade secret. Cleaners keep stainless steel in lifts, on door frames and urinals shiny with engine oil. That's right good old 30/50 car engine oil. There is no other way to get SS looking good. Anything else will smear and mark with hand prints. The oil spreads itself into the marks and self removes them.The only problem is that every few hours or so you need to wipe the fingerprints off the surface with a very slightly oily rag. The rag should only have a tiny amount of oil on it.

One of the reasons for the unpopularity of the Delorean is that the brushed SS is almost impossible to keep looking good. Even if it is oiled the oil attracts dirt and the car has to be wiped down daily.

Disolvit....... it is an orange oil based cleaner use it on everything

I use WD40 on our range hood, it dosent smudge or retain finger prints like recommended produts do.

Stainless steel cleaner...not joking....works great!!!

Oranges cut in half, then one Meth Spirits to three very hot water and then stainless steel cleaner.
