Blue65 - April 15th, 2003 at 11:12 AM

Hello is Guy Harding still around here?

I'm interested on what he put in his Beetle - the one that won the 1998 Targa Tasmania classic rally.

I'm sure Guy will respond soon but I know that the size of the engine was restricted due to the class he ran in the targa....it is destroked to enable it rev higher, I know he mentioned that the redline was up over 7500rpm. Its capacity is quite small (less than 1600cc) but I will leave the rest up to guy!

from what i remember (from drooling over the car) it was running 044 heads (40*35.5 i think), 85.5p&c, IDF's (40 i think) and had a destroked scat crank keeping the capacity under 1300cc.
now all we need is for Guy to give us the correct specs (i wonder how good my memory is...)
