Going to rebuild a type 1 engine soon and will be replacing the stock cam with an Engle W100 camshaft, does any one know what lifters Engle reccomends to use with their cams, cheers Damo.

I asked the guy at Serrano's in the US about this a while back as I was going to get an Engle 110. He said not to use standard lifters (German Mahle i think) as the head is too thick so you would need to cut the case to make em work.
He said the go would be the CB lightweight (exxy) or Scat. I've read on US forums quite a few people have had pitting with the Scat's but the guy at Serrano's reckoned they had not had any dramas with Scat so maybe they have improved or fixed the problem??
Haven't bought either yet but I think I'll just get Scat & see how they go

I think i might go with the CB lifters and use one of their cams, have heard the same story about the Scat lifters also.
