How is an L-Bug speedo held in place? I have one that needs fixing and it doesn't want to simply 'pop' out of its place in the dash like my other old L-Bug... is it bracketed like a flat-dash car? Or what?

I've only ever removed one, it had a screw ring like a VDO pod. I don't know if was a standard speedo though.

They just "pull" out

There is a serated tooth rubber "wrap" that goes around it that holds it in place.

You can take the flat panels off the dash and get your hand behind and help push it out.

Yeah, that's how my old L was.... I been almost breaking stuff trying to get this one out!
