spray gun attachment to rust proof
Robo - April 25th, 2003 at 07:11 PM

Hi Guy's
I want to spray all the inside of the panels of the Kombi with fish oil.
Is there some sort of nozzle that can be attached to a flexable hose 5-8mm, in turn attached to a spray gun, that will give me a 360 degree spray pattern, this could be fed into the holes in the rockers and body panels ect, giving me an even full length coverage.

I was thinking along the lines of a long flexable plastic hose, that I could push right into and along the inside of the panels, the nozzle I would glue into the end, End rust and a few other rustproofing mobs used this set up for the old vehicals they used to treat.
I would be using a mixture of Tectyl and fishoil, so the nozzle would have to be able to handle the viscosity of this stuff and not block up.
I was thinking of that black garden irrigation stuff with the plastic spray nozzles, I would have to make the holes in the fittings larger of course, but I dont know if it would handle the pressure!
The degreasing gun, may be the go for the easy places, but this still wont reach some of the tighter spots.
Any other idea's, I am all ears!

try a piece of clear tubing with a couple of hose connectors. soetimes the nozzle will fit quite snog in the hose and no need for the clamp. worked on ours pretty well. cheers, fish P.S. where are the spots on a Kombi that you need a long hose to get to. or are you talking about another type of car?

I'm about to do the same to my Baja - Throw around some body deadener / antirust stuff and some fish oil. I want to get it well up into the pan and all the nooks and crannies as well. Was thinking of putting an extension onto a spray gun like what you suggested where it's sprayed through a gargen hose.
