Who in Oz could modify a 009 like this one?

It is a camshaft synch. It is a gutted 009, a small round wheel made of aluminium sits on the shaft. A (motec) hall effect pickup has been tapped into the side of the body. A 0.125 hole has been drilled into the wheel and a single magnet epoxied onto it for the cam synch. The cover has been fabbed from a block of aluminum, sealed with an O ring.

Hi

You could always use a 2.1 WBX dizzy, this will have 4 segments for piston position or a 2.6 Magna EFI dizzy has the 4 segments for piston position and a TDC segment as well, the Magna dizzy will need to be adapted, the WBX dizzy will drop straight in.

Thanks Steve.

I have a Camira dizzy as well. I think the internals would be similar, but it has 2 multi-pinned plugs at its base. Too complicated for me.

I also like the low profile of the one in the pic.

I need to find a local "ignition" guru.

ray@sportcompactgroup.com ......not sure if he can help, but i know he had a hand in doing my ignition a few years ago.

Henry Spicak can do anything!....was it him running the telstar dizzys a while back?

Hi

Henry used to use Sigma and Magna dizzys. If you only need the 4 segments the 2.1 WBX dizzy is a good choice, you could get it pretty low profile like the one in the picture. The Sigma and Magna dizzys are leager in diameter, a bit like a 40 hp dizzy.
