Just wondering how people are mounting their remote oil coolers for best eficiency in and around the transmission area.
I have attached a rough sketch of my current location for comparison.
looks OK..
many people over the years had an external oil cooler
mounted around or on top of the gearbox...
but with out actually knowing how the air circulates...
it may not be a good idea...
so having a deflector to send air to the oil cooler has got to be a good solution...

One suggestion for a location that I am going to try is this one because it gets the cooler closer the air flow under the car. My car is lowered but
not a pan scraper by any means soI have a reasonable amount of air flow, as the recently added deflector proved.

Mine is mounted to the curve, laid foward at 45 degree's. it has 2 threaded rod stays running directly down the floor area to the bottom of it. My engine has always run cold.... has not fans or similar.
I run a T4 cooler in the shroud and this oil cooler with fan, tight fit with all the other crap, been running with this and a mechanical thermostat for 3 months, never turned on the fan. 2276, 9.5:1 engine.
