kombi box in beetle??

i can get a 69 baja with 1916 efi motor fitted to kombi box ,with mods can u fit motor and box in a 63 beetle??

and then some ? the baja is on a irs 69 ball joint front end hmm maybe a body swap $$$$$$$ or leave it and get a kombi when i can a deano

all good then, just thought you were the type to want the wide five....have you had a look under the baja?....hows the box link up to the gear shift shaft?

keep in mind, body swap would require a "blue slip" inspection and re-registration.......

........getting the whole baja?......

you could always i.r.s the swinger, weld in arm pivot boxes (make a jig from the baja), dimple frame horns for c.v clearance, relocate handbrake ends on the frame horns, change spring plates and go to some heavier torsions whilst your at it..........big job either way you takle it, but many benefits.......

some kombi box conversions use a "adapter" front housing so the shift linkage doesn't require moding, that will be another job if it's not set up as such.but you have an existing set up to work off, so the blueprints are all there for the taking hey!
