Car Tilter
matara - May 5th, 2003 at 04:46 PM

Hay what about this for all you budding restorers!

Its a car tilter that works like a Kombi jack! It bolts on to your hubs and rolls her over so you can get underneath! You roll it over by attaching a drill to the tilter!

Doesn;t look all that hard to make yourself and apparently it only weighs 65kg and can be put in a car boot.

More details at :- http://www.liqui-technik.com/

They are made in Germany and cost about AU$1300

If anyone fancies making one please let me know!

Thanks

Steve

Engine and gearbox oil, fuel, coolant, windscreen washer water and brake fluid stay in the car.

(from the website)

I'd be a bit dubious about that, but nevertheless, the gadget seems like a good idea. :thumb

Woudnt you get 2 pots full of oil on a flat VW motor. Would drain past the rings and fill up the exhaust and manifold.
OK for upright motors.:o

just drain the oil and fluids before you tilt it? looks like a very easy way to get at the bottom of your car without getting dirtand grinding bits in your eyes
