1302 and 1303 performance parts
1916 - February 18th, 2007 at 02:29 AM

hi all was just wanting to know one thing.

would swaybars, disc conversions and 3 bolt performance struts (vforce ones) that were purchased for a 1302 71super be able to be put on a 1303 73 L bug?

If the 1303 is 3 bolt then yes.

it "should" be as 1303's changed late 74

And what do you mean by disc conversion??
1302's had discs.
Are you talking rear?? or big fronts??

Whatever.... all 3 bolt is the same

The only drum front 1302's I've seen are pommie cars...

Hi

All US cars had drums as well.

1916, even if you had the later 2 bolt struts, they are all interchangeable (3 to 2 or 2 to 3) as long you change the sway bar as well.

no i mean i have a big brake conversion for the front and the back aswell.

X-drilled falcon rears with falcon calipers

X-drilled 911 front discs with alfa romeo calipers.

thats good to know.

thanks for letting me know guys.

there seems to be more 1303's around rust free than 1302's.

Sorry Alan and Anthony, I didn't mean to hijack the thread (Mind you I think there's more to the story).
The reason I asked that question is so I would know if it was the same person I was speaking to some time ago about performance suspension and brakes (As I didn't want to mention the user name that I had spoken to in the past, in case I was wrong).

But hey, that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Just out of curiosity, the rear disc conversion, is that one similar to VWCOOL's brake setup?

umm...it is a setup from vforce.

using eb falcon (i think dba aftermarkets) that have been cross drilled with new eb falcon calipers..should work a treat when matched with the front setup..not the biggest brake setup i have seen but at the end of the day you can overpower the brakes.

quality of parts look good though. i would reccomend this to others. (although i am yet to install the covnersion..but soon..possibly very soon)
