New brakes lines
ringoschariot - March 14th, 2007 at 11:43 AM

can anyone tell me if new prefabricated brake lines are available for a 1967 Beetle?

I just want to take my old ones off and fit new without fabricating them myself.

thanks

by prefabricated i gather you mean complete with fittings on the ends etc...

they should be readily available.

Do you mean hoses or steel lines?

You can buy hoses from VW parts places. You can also get them made up at a brake specialist. Cost me about $35 each to have them made.

I mean the steel lines. I would like to buy some off the shelf that fit straight on without having get anyone to make them to fit.

Classic VW in Sydney. Not sure of price, but ridiculously cheap...

Vintage vee dub have them in stock also the rubber flex ones as well and the good quality German lines not cheap crap give them a ring 9789-1777

If yr replacing the steel lines then the rubbers will be stuff as well.

Buy only german ATE brand as origionally fitted to the car
