71 Superbug - suspension woes
Baldy - March 21st, 2007 at 09:52 AM

Anyone know of a good place around Sydney (eastern suburbs preferred) to get my Bugs suspension sorted. It has bad rear end sag causing bottoming-out over driveways and clonking over ruff surfaces (most of sydney roads!).?

Any choices of good repalcement shockies and torsion settings?

Cheers in advance.

Torsion bars can be easily reset by a VW specialist - if Campsie isn't too far away try Vintage Vee Dub supplies 9789 1777. Others may have closer suggestions...?

Most workshops will raise the rear end.

Put some KYB's shocks in, some new poly torsion bar grommets and if you want some Type 3 torsion bars.

Should also consider some front work

wont cost "that" much and you will have a mean handling car

Good quality new rear shockers and reset rear torsion bars and you will have a lot sorted. You may need new sway bar bushes on the front if you have the shimmy's. $800'ish will get it riding pretty sharp.
