I checked out my muffler carefully today and it's roasted. No way will I get RWC. I had planned to run the stock one until I soorted out my engine properly. What after market set up dp you reccomend - I want to retain heater box's and it will be lowered running Dells.

Alot of Beetle systems will fit a type 3. The usual problem is that the muffler hangs out the back like dogs balls.

You can get extractors which will match up to the heaters and will work fine on a mild engine. There is also an adaptor which allows you to fit a type 4 bus muffler onto a type 3. As it is designed for a larger engine if flows a bit better while looking fairly stock and being quiet.

I would suggest you call some of the forum sponsors and ask them what they have. You can get OEM muffler etc but they are fairly expensive and can be a bit more difficult to track down.
