has anyone fitted a 5 speed gearbox to a air cooled t3 fiting box should not be a problem but all the linkages are different has anyone done this conversion before

The T3 5 speed is longer than the 4 speed, so the air cooled engine would sit too far back, tinware wouldn't fit etc etc. and also the linkage is different.
Not worth the trouble, the final gear ratio is very similar anyhow.
