Soundproofing stuff ???

I'm in need of some realy good panel soundproofing stuff and I haven't got a clue what it's called or where I get it from the only thing I actualy do know is that the stuff aint cheap and I think it's a PITA self adhesive one side -- can anyone help me out ??

dynamat is pretty common but your right, very expensive.

I used some 6mm thick rubber and glued it on using contact adhesive.... a 10m x .6m x 6mm roll cost me $100.... alot cheaper than dynamat

if u are interested i got it from Graham Rubber in syd - 9637 7344

AH HA thanks mate I think rubba for the floors and maybe Dynamat for the rear quarter panels and behind back seat --I wonder what VW had behind back seat origionaly ??

Give Sound Control P/L a ring here in Brisbane on 32684588 or go down to there factory @ 61 Links Ave Eagle Farm as they have a miriad of products to suit your purpose , but like you already know it won't be cheap but it beats the noise of a roaring set of webers etc on a along trip

make sure you steer clear of porous materials like felts, roof insulation etc that will hold water... they will eventually get wet and rust out your panels...
