just curious whether an oval body ie: the one cam has for sale atm, would fit on a 58 pan without any pan/body modifications?

Hi

I think the only time you need to modify the body to suit the pan is when you go to later ball joint type pan. Even then all that is needed is to move the mount on the inner rear guard.
