As long as the mount holes point the right direction it will bolt straight on (there are 2 types..the holes are different..straight up and down and on the other the mount holes go sideways..).You will need to reposition one of the brake lines to bolt onto the mastercylinder, rear circuit from memory.
push rod and bolt spacing is the same as the 70 model you will have to alter the steel brake lines to make them fit the dual cylinder
also easier to use a volvo 740, or golf master reservoir rather than the late style one with the long hoses etc.
The volvo one pushes straight into the master cylinder like a late bus one...
varga m/c uses the volvo reservoir with 10mm grommets, and the ATE one uses golf, with 8mm grommets.
I have had my reservior mounted on the top of the master cylinder for years
:P
aint had any problems same a the series one Golf
