Dont have any pic's but the dude who has it is trying to tell me its a 76 and I I dont think it is so I asked for the chassis number. Thats why I asked the Q's.

mate if it's a 76 it will look like Craig's car: elephant foot lights plus front, rear and side windows like yours but with little half-moon vents behind the rear side windows

Pics will help could be a 76 body on a early floor but why would anyone want to do that

theres not enough numbers for it to be a 76

Isn't the 3rd number in the chassis number the year? So, 7 would make it a 67 pan?

What is the front end? K+L, Ball Joint or Mac Strut?

no not in this case only when it has 19 in front of the number and thats for Aussie VWs only as well

This is prior to that numbering system which started in mid 62

Thanks for the help. At the time of writting the post the person who was selling the car did not have any photos and was telling me it was a 76 with BJ front end and IRS rear, thats why I asked for the chassis number. It just did not seem to add up what he was telling me. Since I post I have received a photo and its a Lbug, so the guy selling it is either full of $hit or knows nothing at all VW. Thanks
