Ok.. a week ago I've noticed that I've got water in my oil (top of oil lid is all milky and can see all the cruddy stuff about halfway down from
there) ... in my 36hp aircooled bug!
I was told that this is normal due to the weather conditions that we've been having?? Has anyone else ever experianced this before? It has never
happened to me before until now despite me always parking my beetle outside for 4 years and I'm just wondering if it could have anything to do with
the fact that my engine was recently rebuilt? Any suggestions on what I should do about it?
Thanks
take it back to whoever rebuilt it....
nick
i will say it is common condensation
I wouldnt worry too much about it
just make sure ur bug is getting good long runs on a regular basis to boil that out of it
fairlyu normal for an outside car this time of year

Thanks everyone
the guy who rebuilt it told me that it was condensation
but I just wanted to get further clarification cause I've never experianced it before...w
I use gtx2 as well...
GTX oil always leaves a milky sludge under the oil cap, and in the sump strainer, when you pull the engine down it will have a nice coating of it in
the sump too.
I use Valvoline, never had a problem with sludging.
