Water in oil????
Canni. - July 18th, 2007 at 03:57 PM

Ok.. a week ago I've noticed that I've got water in my oil (top of oil lid is all milky and can see all the cruddy stuff about halfway down from there) ... in my 36hp aircooled bug!

I was told that this is normal due to the weather conditions that we've been having?? Has anyone else ever experianced this before? It has never happened to me before until now despite me always parking my beetle outside for 4 years and I'm just wondering if it could have anything to do with the fact that my engine was recently rebuilt? Any suggestions on what I should do about it?

Thanks :)

GTX oil always leaves a milky sludge under the oil cap, and in the sump strainer, when you pull the engine down it will have a nice coating of it in the sump too.

I use Valvoline, never had a problem with sludging.
