Looking to replace the beading on my 74 beetle, haven't done it before and was wondering if there are any major issues likely to crop up and any tips
some people may have.
Cheers
yeah buy good quality beading and not the cheap crap
Also wrap a rag around the tool your using so you dont dent the guards from hitting agains tthem when you undo the bolts
good idea to loosen all the bolts and remove the old beading then wash or heavy hose or gurney the gap between the body n guard to remove the dirt n
grud
Lay out the beading in the sun so as to warm it up a little n make it fit easier
Start at the guard ends away from the body so you align the guard and the front n rear beavers correctly
