I have a 1500 bug chassis that I'm using for my manx clone buggy. The chassis number is 118939523 which I believe is a 1968 model. Can anyone confrm this for me.

I can give u the production period of types and model's
VW 1200 34hp chassis no.
118 000 001 August 1967-
your's 118 939 532
118 1 016 095 July 1968-
119 000 001 August 1968-
119 1 093 701 July 1969 and so on
not much help but it's a start could be late 67 but have you still got the rest of the car? you could look at the back window compared to 68
