Well I was told the EMPI ones were like $38 but my wife hates it when I spend a dollar one the thing. She doesnt have the same passion and thinks we only need one car, her Holden Astra SRi.
I think you will find that the JAP cars have a differnt pitch on the threads and wont fit on the stock rockers
Who do you know thats used this B4 ??? i aint herd or seen anyone doing it ( but that dont mean much )
why dont you go the whole way and fit ratio rockers as well
Why do u need the swivel feet anyway there not much advantage
The consensis(sp) is that the swivel foot can help improve guide wear,
especially on valve lifts above .400".
A lash cap or swivel foot(or both) can help get geometry closer in some cases also.
The scat swivel foot and bergs are both copies o original equipment of the "Ford Courier" and Porsche.
Neither do as good as a job as the geniune artical, although probably acceptable life.
Apparently the Yamaha is a better version of the Berg/Porsche.I have no personal experience of this however.
The Empi part I am unfamiliar with, but is probably an even cheaper version of the Scat.
Personally I would not run anything against the tip of the valve under .400" lift unless I had geometry issues to sort.
"Parts left out cost nothing,
and cause no service difficulties"
As your aware Dangerous the geometry is what I'm trying to sort out.
My lift is less than .400" maybe .340" at the cam. Enough that for the centre line of the lifter to be parallel to the centre line of the valve
stem there is no more room for adjustment (adjusting screw is wound right in). And thats with no shims. I'd like to try to avoid machining the rocker
stands.
Were did I see it? I read it in the "how to hot rod a volkswagon" book
If my wife doesnt want me to spend $38 what do you think she would say about $180? Unless someones got some 2nd hand.
I think Ill try to track down the Yamaha ones. Ive got a mate in the bike industry, Ill lend him a rocker and see what he comes up with.
Thanks for the help guys.
From memory Mazda 808 with 1300cc engine had swivel feet that fit into VW rockers.

SETTING THE STANDARD
Did you know that the Tappet adjusters for a VW, Porsche and Mazda 808 are the same as those used on the XS650 except they don't have that annoying
little square on top for adjustment they have a screwdriver slot (much better) There are two types and these are commonly referred to as elephants
foot and ball foot adjusters because of the way they look. It is necessary to modify the rocker arms to fit these to the XS650 and they must be fitted
before the rocker box is fitted to the motor because you can't screw them in from the top like the standard adjusters. So if price is no object and
you don't mind modifying the rocker arms and your motor is already apart then go for the elephants or ball foot adjusters they are the best! The
picture below is the ball foot adjuster.
[pic in last post]
I recently found out that the ball foot adjuster pictured is from a Mazda 808 and you need to remove about 4mm from the bottom of the rocker arm to
fit this type of adjuster. When I do mine I'll post a picture

I have a set of the ones pictured mine are from CB performance, and they are still in the pack if you want them, i prefer the real deal 911 type, they
are more expensive but i don't mind paying for quality.
Damo.
The pic is a Mazda one - you should be able to buy them from the local mazda dealer
Thanks guys.
I always go to genuine dealers, half the time they are cheaper then super cheap and about the same as a wrecker.
Damo let me know how much you want for them 0423 335 001.
vw54 My lips are now seal, the trouble is they can read minds.....
These are the ones i have http://www.cbperformance.com/catalog.asp?ProductID=115 i'd be happy with $30 plus post unless you want to come pick em
up, but first i gotta find em in my stash of performance parts, i would have rang you but i really don't like to ring people after 8pm especially on
a weekday.
Damo.
I called Old Mac at spring would $9.05 each, I dont even no if that includes gst, $72.40.
Ipswich Spare Parts said 5-10 bucks for a hand full. (I was told if it can fit in your pocket its free, from the wreckers????)
Damo if you in Brissie I'll take em, If you could find them by Saturday that'd be great.
My phones on 24 7. I paid for it the other week, I posted on someone elses post, that I had a part at 2:30am Friday night. They then rang me at
7:00am Saturday morning. Lates OK, but early is rude :P
