wasting your time unless you fit new torsion arm bushes as well.
both inner and outers with some nice moly grease to lubricate them.

both rubber and neoprene are available.

well it was a good afternoon now have the beetle sitting square on all four wheels after adjusting torsion bar , adjusted my blinker switch so high beam worked and my fingers fit between steering wheel and lever(shallow dish sport steering wheel wood grain of course) and fixed my deck lid what a way to spend an afternoon. Fantastic.
