i was just wondering what seals to use between the housing and the guard or is it an unobtainable thing

If your talking about the intermediate tail lights (50/50 lenses, Aus & Italy only). You can make a seal. They're not like the later seals that have lots of contact area with the guard. They only had contact where the lip of the housing touches the gaurd. You can use a U shaped rubber where the bottom of the profile is flat. You slip it over the edge of the housing all the way around then bolt housing to guard. The originals looked circular before fitting, there is probably no need to join the ends of the home made ones as even the factory ones trapped moisture under the housings, so you would probably be better off leaving a small gap between the ends at the bottom of housing to allow for drainage.

Should find the right profile rubber at Clark rubber or places like them.

Matt.

Pod

the 61 change over tailights had a different type of seal to the later and early tailights
as per above and its not available you will have to make something up

I have a set but not for sale only with the complete tailights

Egay ones went for around 45 bucks.

no probs guys they have a set on them but are cracking apart as they shrink when i take them off,but a bit of hot water allows enough elasticity to get them back on in 1 piece albeit with a few cracks:sniffle:
