hey all helping a friend do 6 to 12 volt conversion on his 67 bug and once we put the spacer under the carbie the acelerator cable isnt long enough
to do up. Anyone else had this problem? when i did mine i just ground the side of my alternator so the carbie wouldnt foul on it, so i didnt have a
prob but i wasnt going to that on his.
any help would be appreciated
cheers deon
answering my own question here but this is what is needed. if anyone else comes across this problem
cable extention kit
when doing supercharger fits i often come across that problem but have found a cheep and easy fix by using a electrical cabel joiner block and cutting away all the plastic cover you are left with a brass 2 screw block and the joining is as easy as pasing the two ends through the block and tighten down the screws
yea i was in the same boat as greedy,
i went to a bike shop and got them to make a 3.5m throttle cable up and just cut it to length
cos its running in its own outter sheath its alot smoother in operation but mine also had to go thro a couple of pretty wild bends
every thing about is pretty wild not that there's anything wrong with that
